I have identified three central character traits to the character that I would like to nourish at

Spirit Dance.   

 

Charitable Conduct

“I am full of love for and goodwill toward others. I show kindness, encouragement and

compassion to those around me.”

 

A Disciplined Mind

“I show strong character by being responsible, honest, trustworthy, persistent, and faithful.

 

An Ambitious Heart

“I am passionate for the art of dance and I work to embrace all of my potential.”

 

At the end of the year, dancers will vote on the classmate they believe exhibits these characteristics on a consistent basis. At the recital, Shining Spirit awards will be given out to the dancers who have received the most votes and whom teachers agree has best shown these characteristics. This award began in 2017 and it has become an honored

tradition in our program.
